Poseidon 2005, ISB’s flagship inter B-School event (December 16th-17th, 2005) proudly announces the launch of a series of events leading to the final dates of Poseidon. We are looking forward to healthy participation (and competition) from all of you.
Following are the details of the events:
ΘLYMPIΣIΛ
The Indian School of Business endeavors to promote entrepreneurial application of technology among B-School students. In line with this goal, Poseidon 2005 presents you the Technology Innovation Challenge, an opportunity for business school students to exhibit their ability to ideate and concisely articulate bright, technology related business ideas.
The participating teams have to conceive a business idea in a technology domain and present it as a business plan. The contest involves three stages and two rounds of evaluation.

NΣGΘTIΛTUS
Conducting client interviews is integral to the consulting profession. In this game the participants will be provided with a set of objectives for an interview. At the same time the client will have his/her agenda which the interviewer will not be aware of. The participant will have to interview the client in front of an audience. The winners will be decided on the basis of their ability to handle an interview situation effectively.

RHΣTΘRIUM
The Inter B-School debate competition at ISB brings forth an essential quality of an effective manager - the ability to think on one’s feet and to communicate thoughts effectively.
A creative thought process and effective communication & handling of audience questions are vital qualities to survive this grueling experience.

Surprise Celebrity judges from the fashion industry will be there to judge so get funky……
We invite all Business schools to participate in a Fashion Show Competition incorporating the theme of the five elements of nature (Fire, Water, Earth, Wind and Sky).
Design your own line using either one, or all of the five elements.

With the emergence of the Indian stock market as a primary destination for foreign investment reinforced by the 7%+ growth rate of the Indian economy, the market has witnessed unprecedented growth in shareholder value in the last 3 years. The market has broken all previous records and has entered into very bullish but volatile phase. The easy money has been made but now is the time to separate the men from boys and test the true mantle of an astute investor.

There would be a series of four quizzes as part of EureQa, each held on a different day. Each question in the quiz would have a set of visuals connected by a common theme. The team which cracks the maximum number of themes at the earliest (maximum cumulative score) would walk away with the prizes. The tiebreaker questions would be marked with asterisk signs.

ΘDYSSΣY
ΘDYSSΣY - a business, sports and entertainment quiz – will cover a wide array of subjects ranging from business houses to brands, from creators of wealth to architects of scams and from Wall Street to Dalal Street. It would also take you on an eventful and insightful trip into the world of movie stars and sports personalities. You would get to witness some innovative rounds in the final which have never been tried out in quizzing circles!
